Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the interweb.
I am a researcher in elementary particle physics at the University of Sussex where I work on the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC, one of the largest scientific instruments ever built. The LHC collides particles at energies higher than any we have made before, to recreate - on a microscopic scale - the conditions in the first few fractions of a second after the big bang.
I work on the ATLAS High Level Trigger and on fits of the proton parton distributions using ATLAS data for which more information can be found here.
